American History X

"bite the curb" a classic line from the movie American History X. The adult skeleton appears to have suffered the same fate as the character in American History X, as inferred by the head wound. The rib cage of the skeleton has also been caved in, so maybe the culprit missed the first time, or was just finishing him off.

The sad part about this is, the last time anyone was in the house that we are uncovering, people were dying.

The Skeletons

This is two skeletons of anctient times. Our team found them in square C4. It appears as if when they died they were possibiliy hiding from someone, such as a roman guard. The larger of the two skeletons has a massive blow to his ribcage, implying that he/she got into a bit of action before he/she died. The child skeleton is holding the larger skeleton's hand.

hot days and heavy buckets

As the time passes in the year, the temperature contuines to rise. This nuclear death heat is something that I do not look foward to at all each year. Its almost as if I forget how hot it gets, but i guess thats where all the fun is.

This past week, Alex has turned over his supervisional powers to me as the new square leader of A3. Thus far in the group we are uncovering the natural floor and excavating the skeletons that are in our square.

its that time again..

well i guess its time to get started on blogging for the Archaeology class that i am in. Some new changes that have occured since last semester is mainly, less people in the class, therefore only containing 2 groups instead of 3. I am in group alpha with Alex, GJ, Clayton, and Brant. In our current square, we are excavating two skeletons, one a older parental figure of the other smaller child in the square. They appear to be holding hands, as if they were trying to escape or hide form something or someone. The opposing square across the field from us has found..well.. nothing of any real significance such as a skeleton, but they have found some smaller things that im sure are of great importance of learning abut the anctient civilations that onced lived there.
